Level 20 appoints BVCA Deputy DG as CEO
Level 20, the not-for-profit organisation dedicated to seeing greater participation of female professionals in European private equity, is pleased to announce the appointment of Gurpreet Manku as Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Pam Jackson, who retires from her role in April 2023 after three years.
Gurpreet has a decade of experience working at the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA), where she most recently served as Deputy Director General and Director of Policy. She joined the private equity and venture capital industry trade body in 2013 and her broad role covered sustainability and D&I initiatives alongside detailed technical policy.
Level 20 has made significant progress under Pam’s leadership, in particular through the delivery of the first European Gender Diversity Report, which provided much needed data on female representation across the industry. Pam also oversaw the expansion of the organisation’s international reach and its engagement with the private equity industry. It is expected that Gurpreet will build on this progress, helping Level 20 to deliver on its mission throughout the global private equity industry.
It is a pleasure to welcome Gurpreet on board. Her background and experience, particularly in formulating industry policy, will be extremely valuable for leading Level 20 through the next stage of its growth journey.
We are also deeply grateful to Pam for her invaluable commitment and contribution over the past three years in pushing us forward and are delighted that she will continue her involvement as a Non-Executive Director of Level 20.
